South Denver #93 Masonic Lodge Scholarships

South Denver Masonic Lodge administers two scholarship Funds.

Raymond G. Hanson Jr. Scholarship Fund

The Raymond G. Hanson, Jr. Fund was established to be used for financial assistance for worthy students to attend educational institutions within the State of Colorado. The fund committee has determined to prioritize Vocational and Trade schools as the primary educational organizations to provide scholarships for.

Scholarships are awarded primarily for leadership, maturity, need, and scholastic ability without reference to race, creed, color, sex, or Masonic relationship.

A three-person committee receives, reviews and qualifies all applications. Finalists will be interviewed in person by the committee. Upon selection, the committee will notify Scholarship recipients. Scholarship payments will be coordinated with the student and the school to be attended.

One-time award amounts may range from $500 to $1500. The number of scholarships and award amount each year is affected by the availability of earnings of the Fund’s investments.

The only eligibility requirement for the Scholarships is that an applicant be a graduating senior in a public high school in Colorado and the he or she attend an institution of higher learning within the state of Colorado.

The application form and information sheet for the one-time vocational scholarships are available through the links further down this webpage.  If you have questions after reviewing the application form and the information sheet, please contact the Hanson Fund committee at:
